How Game Pass kept me sane during the Lockdown

As a person who spent most of the time during lockdown on the Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass(GP), I’d say it’s an insane value for me, and I’ll try my best not to sound like a fan boy.

To be honest, I was not into paying a fee every month for games. The whole idea of subscription for games seemed a little weird for me (But I did spend for Xbox Live).

I had this old hobby of collecting physical games ( A disk), and when I’m done, I would exchange the copy with others, but I would make sure I would get back my copy sooner after a period time. And I’m sure a lot of you out there do the same.

Why I like collecting Physical disks?

Cos I just like to collect things, as a kid I collected stamps. You can say I like collecting certain things of interest.

Then came the Lock down in 2020

When the world wide lock down first took effect, I was trying best to keep myself mentally healthy so I kept myself busy with Youtube, streaming services like Netflix, etc. Honestly after I was done watching “The walking Dead”, there was nothing else that piqued my interest.

But I wanted something more, something were I had more control.

A struggle to keep me sane and engaged.

So I thought why not give Game Pass a shot

When I first subscribed, I was Amazed with the amount games right in front me. The crazy action games like Gears series to some light hearted side scrolling games. The game pass had everything I ever wanted as a kid and Guy who missed some games during the Xbox 360 era. It also kept me busy during the lock down and not worry about all the doom and gloom going around.

Some of the games were the ones which I wanted to buy for years, but kept postponing it, cos hey not everyone has $60 or above to play them with game pass I could download game on my console and start playing, and if I didn’t like it I can always stop and delete the game.

The other reason why I like GP is because there were times when I spent top dollar on a Game but stopped playing it half way, because the game got harder, or sometimes I found it  be repetitive, or I didn’t like the environment. In this case it’s a waste spending Seventy or so dollars on a Game.

Game Pass gives you the opportunity to experience many games without having

You may already be aware that GP is just like Nflix, instead of movies it has a good collection of games.
